Eng. Hassan Abdelaziz, President of the African Federation for Construction Contractors’ Associations (AFCCA), and H.E. Amb. Hatem Tageldin, Secretary-General of the Federation, alongside Mr. Ali Al-Sanafee, President of the Federation of Arab Contractors (FAC), Eng. Hamdy Shehata, Secretary-General of the Federation, and Eng. Zakaria Al Abdul Qader, President of the Federation of Contractors in Islamic Countries (FOCIC), participated in the monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the World Construction Association (CICA), which was held via video conference on 27 August 2026.
The meeting reviewed the updates of CICA’s activities, as well as preparations for the Federation’s General Assembly and Annual Conference, scheduled to take place in Paris in November 2026.
The three Federations also presented their activities and ongoing efforts to strengthen their representation and cooperation at both regional and international levels, as well as their participation in a number of specialized international events. while emphasizing the importance of maintaining continued cooperation and coordination among the member federations.
The meeting further discussed ways to enhance the participation of the three Federations in CICA’s working groups, as well as their engagement in a number of upcoming international events and initiatives.
The participation of the three federations in the CICA Board meetings comes within the framework of their keenness to enhance their international presence, expand areas of cooperation between contractors’ federations and organizations, and support the interests of the construction sector at the regional and international levels.
