African Federation for Construction Contractors’ Associations Organizes Joint Webinar on Affordable, Resilient and Sustainable Housing in Egypt and Africa

The African Federation for Construction Contractors’ Associations (AFCCA), in cooperation with the World Construction Association (CICA) and the Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC), organized a joint webinar on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, entitled “Affordable, Resilient and Sustainable Housing in Egypt and Africa,” bringing together a distinguished group of specialists and stakeholders in the housing and construction sector.
The webinar addressed a number of issues related to the development of the housing sector in Egypt and Africa, with a focus on means of providing affordable, sustainable, and resilient housing amid rapid population growth and urban expansion. The session also reviewed the key trends and challenges facing the housing and construction sectors, as well as the role of innovation and sustainable practices in enhancing the efficiency and quality of projects.
The meeting further served as a platform for exchanging expertise and insights on relevant experiences in sustainable and resilient housing, and for exploring opportunities to strengthen cooperation among institutions and stakeholders in the construction sector at both the Egyptian and African levels.
This webinar reflects AFCCA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening international cooperation and partnerships, and to promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise among construction sector institutions across Africa, in support of the continued advancement of the construction industry and its capacity to meet developmental and future challenges.
