News on the CICA Health & Safety Working Group 3rd Meeting
On Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, the second meeting of the Health and Safety Working Group was held under the auspices of the Confederation of International Contractors’ Associations (CICA). The session took place virtually from 4:00 to 5:00 PM CET.
The meeting featured a presentation by the Chilean Construction Chamber (CChC), which highlighted:
- The experience of CChC in promoting health and safety within the construction sector.
- The connection between CChC’s health and safety agenda and ISSA-Construction.
- Concrete examples of initiatives implemented by CChC that can serve as a reference for other chambers and federations.
Founded in 1951, the CChC today brings together more than 3,000 members across Chile, representing different areas of the construction industry through 18 regional agencies. The Chamber has been a key driver in promoting safety standards as a means of improving people’s quality of life and enhancing the construction value chain.
CICA emphasized the importance of such exchanges, inviting all member organizations and companies to actively participate in the Health and Safety Working Group and to adopt best practices that can improve occupational safety worldwide.
