LIVE WEBINAR | GGDA | Transport Infrastructure Development In Gauteng | 14 October2025
LIVE WEBINAR
In South Africa, October is celebrated as transport month. From the air, road and rail industries, Gauteng province is kept moving and working at all hours of the day, but none of this would be imaginable without infrastructure.
There has been great transport infrastructure development and progress over the last three decades to get the province’s system to where it is, for its estimated 16,1 million population. The Gauteng department of roads and transport was allocated R9.7 billion for the 2025/26 annual calendar to manage, develop and maintain the province’s transport infrastructure among others.
However, the transport infrastructure in Gauteng is marred by challenges of underfunding, ill maintenance, neglect, staff shortages, abandoned projects among others.
CNBC Africa in partnership with GGDA will host a LIVE Webinar under the theme: Transport Infrastructure development in Gauteng and will bring together key stakeholders for an engaging discussion on developing Gauteng transport infrastructure, the opportunities, challenges and how to make the infrastructure work for a province that’s always at work.
