  1. Hassan Abd El Aziz, President of AFCCA, delivered a welcoming speech to the attendees, especially the new members (on behalf of Algeria, Mr. Reda Baziz; Burkina Faso, Mr. Bologo Mohamed; and on behalf of Guinea Conakry, Mr. Morlaye Soumah). Mr. Abd El Aziz also welcomed the new representatives: Mr. Mariteuw Chimere Diaw of Senegal, Mr. Idriss Saleh of Chad and Mr. Oussoumanou Malloum of Cameroon.
  2. Hassan Abd El Aziz thanked the Ambassador Ibrahim Al-Shwaimi, for the effort made during the period in which reacted as Secretary-General of AFCCA .Subsequently, President Abd El Aziz nominated Eng.Karim Mohsen to be Secretary-General of AFCCA succeeding the Ambassador Ibrahim Al-Shwaimi.
  3. During the events of the conference, Mr. Abdel Hak Laraichi delivered his speech, where he praised the role of Egypt in bearing many financial burdens. He expressed his gratitude to The Egyptian Federation for Construction & Building Contractors (EFCBC) and every one responsible for the works in Egypt. He further stressed the need for all countries to pay contributions to the union to increase its funding.

 

  1. In his speech regarding the issue of training, Mr. Toufik cherradi indicated that in the Kingdom of Morocco, training had already been done in one of the schools in Casablanca, and that a new school specializing in the field of construction had also been established nearby, containing a hotel zone. Kingdom of Morocco is willing to provide free trainings for all workers in the field of construction and building (not including the cost of flights) with durations of one week to a month.

 

 

 

  1. Badirou Kouf Eidji raised the concern of the lack of sufficient personnel and expertise in the field of contracts in African countries. This concern was previously mentioned in the meeting held in Senegal recently, which ended without a definitive or decisive solution. Accordingly, Mr. Kouf Eidji suggested for AFCCA to reach out for a training center to help qualify personnel in the field of contracts, in order to avoid resorting to foreign companies that only seek to make profits.

 

  1. Abdol Majed Ksheer expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the great efforts made by Eng. Hassan Abd El Aziz, President of AFCCA, in building coalitions alongside his keenness to revive the role of the Arab Federation. Mr. Ksheer expressed his gratitude to the EFCBC as well, for the warm welcome and hospitality and the efforts made in spite of the scarcity of resources in AFCCA.
  2. Benin’s representative, Mr. Kouf Eidji Badirou, offered to host the next executive office, for which the General Assembly thanked him. Republic of Chad expressed willingness to host such executive office if Benin was unable to.
  3. And then the African delegation visited some projects in Madinaty hosted by (TALAAT MOSTAFA company).

This year’s edition organized by The African Federation for Construction Contractors’ Association (AFCCA) headed by Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz – President of AFCCA and Excellent Communications, with the participation of the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA). The Forum is taking place under the patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly in Nile Ritz Carlton Hotel on 28 May 2023.

This year, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the Forum’s special Guest of Honor, with the aim of bolstering bilateral cooperation and eventually creating new opportunities for Egyptian construction companies to take part in ongoing giant development projects in the kingdom. Eng. Zakaria Al-Abdul Qader, President of the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA), will be among the Forum’s esteemed attendees this year.

Key attendees this year:

  • The Forum will see the participation of key officials in the Saudi ministers of housing, investment, and tourism, who will showcase the kingdom’s development schemes and maps of new projects.
  • It will also witness a vivid presence of heads of local and international financial institutions.
  • Moreover, the Forum will bring together construction, real estate development, and contracting leaderships.
  • This year, the event will see a large gathering of ambassadors and heads of construction, contracting, investment, and trade federations.

Eng. Hassan Abdel El Aziz President of AFCCA said the welcome speech and was honored in the forum with Eng. Zakaria Al-Abdul Qader, President of the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) and Mr. Ali Senafi President of Arab Contractors Federation.

An agreement contract was signed between Tabarak Egyptian Company which is a member company in the African Federation for construction contractors associations (AFCCA) and Tefla Company in South Africa in the presence of the Ambassador of South Africa in Cairo and Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz – President of AFCCA.

 According to this agreement Tabarak Egyptian company infrastructure implementation and opening new job markets there and benefit from the Egyptian capabilities.

During the General Assembly meeting of the African Federation for construction contractor associations (AFCCA) in Cairo which was held from 26 to 30 May 2023, AFCCA organized a visit to Galala city in Ain Elsokhna for the Saudi and African delegation on 29 May 2023.

 They visited the express train station and water levers and networks and stations project, one of the Egyptian Construction companies made a presentation for the delegation and then they took lunch in one of the big hotels in it, the delegation show their admiration for the capabilities of our Egyptian companies.

Dr. CARLOS ALBERTO SANTOS Minister of housing in Angola Republic visited  Cairo on 9 May 2023 according to an invitation from the African Federation for construction contractors associations (AFCCA) ,  Afrixam Bank and Egyptian African Business association(EABA).

The Minister accompanied by Angolan delegation and Dr. NELSON COSME the Angolan Ambassador in Cairo attended a meeting to discuss the chances of investment in Angola. Some Egyptian construction companies also attended. The meeting discussed also  ways of establishing strong relations between the Egyptian and Angolan businessmen. They discussed also establishing partnerships between the investors between the two countries and the entry of investors Angola and Egypt and the chances for financing especially in housing and construction.

Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz President of the AFCCA pointed in his speech that the Egyptian private sector is much interested in working in AFRICA especially in construction sector and he declared that is very important to discuss ways of cooperation and coordination with Angolan Ministry of housing. He wished that President of the Angolan construction Federation would joined again the AFCCA meeting.

Mrs. Joy Makumbe – Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing in the Zimbabwe Republic Visited Cairo, accompanied by the Delegation of Engineers, technicians, and Contractors of the Construction industry Federation of Zimbabwe, and the Ministry of Housing, according to invitation from Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz President of the African Federation for Construction Contractors Associations (AFCCA) – from 15 to 20 October 2022.

 

They visited the new administrative capital, saw different buildings governmental and private sector, and the highest tower in AFRICA, and they praised the work of the Egyptian construction companies to do a such a wonderful project, she considered it a model for the expensive buildings that would be applied in Zimbabwe, and then they visited some projects of SAMCO COMPANY in new Cairo.

 

   They visited also a project of “MADINATY” built by ALEXANDRIA COMPANY for Construction, as there were electricity station, water station , especial system for private villas and houses , different services , and the sport areas , she said that this model for development would be needed in Zimbabwe. Also (ELSHAMS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY) hosted the delegation in its headquarters , the company made presentation for its activities for construction in some Egyptian provinces.

 

Mrs. MAKUMBE and the delegation had a meeting with Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz and some construction companies in  AFCCA headquarters , information about the capacity of Egyptian companies and Zimbabwe side needs were exchanged , and the training for the Zimbabwe side to be organized by AFCCA in Cairo. Redcon Company hosted the delegation in its headquarters, were the company made presentation for building different types of housing , especially social housing which would be needed in Zimbabwe.

 

3brothers Factory hosted a visit for them, they found different lighting products fabricated for export, also Roxy Factory for water systems pipes . She and the delegation admired the products and praised the new methods of production.

   Mrs. MAKUMBE and the delegation also made touristic tour , they visited the Pyramids , and they admired the old Egyptian Civilization.

Visit of Egyptian delegation of Construction Companies

To Zimbabwe Republic

Headed by Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz

   According to an invitation from Construction Industry Federation of Zimbabwe  , Eng. Hassan Abdel El Aziz – President of the African Federation for construction contractors associations, visited Zimbabwe Republic  accompanied  Federation General Secretary , and a delegation of Egyptian Construction Companies from 21 to 24 September 2022.

    The Delegation attended conference of the Zimbabwe Federation, they discussed some subjects: rule of banks in infrastructure development , partnership between the private and general sector , new era of partnership for the new projects, importance of Governance.

    Honorable Mr. Daniel Garwe , and Mr. of Local Government and general works J  MOYO , attended the congress and participated in discussions.

   Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz in his speech to the congress, pointed that the African Federation adopts the doctrine of Africa for Africans , partnership , importance of using the natural resources in the continent for industries concerning construction, and the African states Governments  should support the construction companies for strong development.

     The Zimbabwe Minister of Housing had a meeting with the Egyptian delegation on 23-9-20222,  there were discussion about partnership of Egyptian Companies with Zimbabwe partners about development of projects infrastructure of Zimbabwe, building cities including social housing and medium and Excellent type housing , also roads and electricity and water waste.

     It was a agreed  that AFCCA will invite Mrs.Joy Makumbe -Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing in Zimbabwe, to visit Cairo for signing a training protocol between AFCCA and the Ministry of housing in Zimbabwe, and discussing designs and expenses concerning the new cities in cooperation between the two sides.

His Excellency  Mr. Daniel Garwe (Honourable Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities visited Cairo from 29-8-2022 to 2-9-2022, he attended the fourth ordinary section of the committee of  African Ministers of local development, Which was convened in Cairo from 29 to 31 August 2022.

    Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz President of the African Federation for construction contractors associations (AFCCA), invited the Minister for a working lunch attended by his Excellency Ambassador of Zimbabwe In Cairo Mr. Shebba Shumbatawonda, and Some Egyptian Companies like (EGAD and Talaat Mostafa Companies) attended the lunch, they discussed the Cooperation between Egypt and Zimbabwe in developing the infrastructure and social housing projects.

    The Minister proposed that Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz would accompany a delegation of concerned Egyptian companies to visit Zimbabwe to cooperate with their Zimbabwe Construction companies for available projects. Eng. Hassan Abdel El Aziz also pointed out that AFCCA is ready to train the Engineers and technicians from Zimbabwe.

     The Minister Visited the New Administrative Capital and some other projects and he admired its quality. He also visited some tourist sites in Cairo.
